The Wilcox and Archuleta Family | Spring Time Family Photos | Elizabethtown, PA
Photographing my own family is always a little extra special — and a little extra chaotic in the best way. Recently, I got to photograph my dad, my sister and brother-in-law, and their three kids at the pond behind their house. It was a warm, golden evening, and the kids were full of energy, running around the water’s edge and cracking each other up between shots. There's something about photographing people you know so well that makes the moments feel even more genuine — the little smirks, the spontaneous laughter, the way they lean into each other naturally without any prompting.
After we wrapped up the session, we stayed by the pond to fish, making even more memories. The kids were so excited to cast their lines, and it felt like the perfect way to end a relaxed family evening. It reminded me why I love photography so much — not just for the pictures we end up with, but for the moments we get to live while making them.
