The Miller Family | Overlook Park Family Photos | Lancaster, PA

One of my favorite parts of being a family photographer is getting to watch families grow over the years, and the Miller family is one I’ve had the pleasure of photographing before. It was so wonderful to see them again and spend an evening capturing this season of life. Their kids, now young adults, were an absolute joy to photograph. Kind, respectful, and completely engaged throughout our session.

As we walked between photo locations, I had the chance to chat with them about some of their interests. I was pleasantly surprised to hear them enthusiastically talking about native plants, pollinators, and the importance of bees. Their knowledge and genuine curiosity about the natural world were impressive. In a time when it’s easy to focus on negative headlines, it was refreshing to meet young people who care deeply about the environment and the world around them.

The Miller family has always been wonderful to work with, but this session left a lasting impression on me. Seeing these two young adults grow into thoughtful, intelligent, and compassionate people gave me a great deal of hope for the future. Family photographs capture more than smiling faces, they preserve who we are in a particular moment in time, and it was an honor to document another chapter for the Miller family.
