When people picture a wedding, they often imagine a white dress, overflowing florals, and a carefully planned timeline full of traditions. But a wedding isn't the same thing as a marriage, and the celebration doesn't have to look any particular way to be meaningful. Olivia and Leah knew that the traditional wedding day just didn't feel like them, but celebrating their commitment to each other absolutely did.

Instead of following expectations, they rented a beautiful Airbnb and invited their closest family and friends for a laid-back day together. The celebration was filled with yard games, swimming in the pool, gorgeous river views, incredible food, and so much laughter. There wasn't a formal ceremony or a long list of wedding traditions to check off just genuine connection with the people who matter most.

As a photographer, these are the kinds of celebrations I love documenting. The best weddings aren't the ones that perfectly follow tradition, they're the ones that reflect the couple at the center of them. Olivia and Leah created a day that felt completely authentic to who they are, and in my opinion, that's exactly how a wedding should be.
